Yes this Mrs Miller. Hit the nail on the head again. And sadly my daughter is the one who goes to the extremes. Always has. Literally has no filter or off-button with her AuADHD. She’s obsessed with identity. It’s a rabbit hole for her. No enabling parents in sight though. Dysfunctional? Likely yes, especially so since this nightmare descended on us. She’s on T now, just 6 months into her University days with the assistance of all those super caring University Student Health Centre doctors (who appear to have forgotten about that little oath they took). Sigh. What irritates me is that the child that started it all - patient zero as I know her - has decided not to medicalise. Whilst the more gullible children she dragged and manipulated down the rabbit hole with her have gone the whole hog. Lucky, for her parents.

My preteen daughter is AuADHD with obsessive tendencies. Currently she's fine, but went through a NB phase and is surrounded with identity fixated peers. I still can't believe other grownups can't see what's happening with these "different" girls.

Oh, I’m sorry. This is how I think trans is going these days—the “cool kids” see now that it’s not so cool or edgy with every frikkin’ teacher & prof affirming their made-up “identities.” And the ones who followed in the parade led by the cool kids are too immature or autistic or otherwise clueless to jump off.

I’ll be praying for you & your dear daughter tonight.

I always love your writing. It's filled with thick description, humor, irony, and pathos. You never pull punches.

The great thing about sixty years of counter-cultural leftist sloganeering is you would have had plenty of ammunition to throw in people's face as you were dragged off the stage: "Speaking truth to power! Violence is the voice of the unheard! Well behaved women rarely make history!"

Hi Mrs. M,

I'm not sure if you read/have come across Josh Slocum's "Disaffected" SS/Podcast, but his latest post included an interview with Stephanie Winn about the issues you parents of Trans "kids" are dealing with. It was amazingly good and approaches it from a psychological understanding of the person your dealing with, verses the normal "in the arena push, pull, throw everything at the wall and hope something sticks" perspective.

Josh is also funny as hell and the opener is great.

I feel like it answered many of the questions and narratives you have had in your past posts.

God bless and keep you and your crew!!
